I heavily researched portraiture from the 19th and 20th centuries, to absorb their style of photography so I can emulate it in my work.

The low depth of field, gorgeous warm and subtle colours and incredible detail all combine to make a powerful portrait of a person.

I find most were lit with natural light, which I can easily replicate.
